Owner of J.L. Landscapes: Jody Linnabary
Jody started his landscaping career during his pre-teen years. Starting with his father’s lawn, Jody began to cut grass and rake leaves for other homeowners in his neighborhood. As a young teenager Jody became the “lawn boy” of a group home for disabled adults that sits on 2+ acres of historical land that was once part of the Underground Railroad. The home became the centerpiece of Jody’s childhood landscaping business. At age 16, Jody was hired as a caregiver at the group home and he then worked with the residents of the group home for over 11 years. Using what he earned at the group home, Jody managed to pay his way through a degree in Landscape design/build from Columbus State Community college. Before graduating cum laude in 2010, Jody was elected and served one term as president of the Columbus State Landscape association. As a proud student of Landscape design, horticulture, trees, shrubs, and all things green, Jody continues his education attending winter classes and studying for specialized certifications within the landscape industry.
In 2008, Jody started J.L. Landscapes with the mission to take an environmentally conscious and economic approach to making your landscape the envy of your neighborhood.
